Yes. All storage units must be secured with one of our insurance-approved padlocks, available to purchase for £12.99.
How do payments work?
Storage is charged every four weeks in advance by debit or credit card. If you leave part-way through a paid period, any applicable overpayment is refunded in line with our 14-day notice policy.
How do I get my invoices?
Your invoices are available through your customer account and are added on each rent due date.
What ID is required to rent a storage unit?
You’ll need a valid form of photo ID, such as a driving licence or passport.
Do I need Contents Protection?
Yes. Your stored belongings must be protected for their full replacement value while they’re in storage. You can use SCA’s Contents Protection or arrange your own suitable policy.

Can I arrange my own cover?
Yes. You can use your own insurance policy, provided it specifically covers goods in self storage for their full replacement value. You’ll need to provide evidence of suitable cover and keep it valid for the duration of your stay.
